PHOTO ART DIRECTION & PRODUCT STYLING
Mid career I made the switch from photo art directing on-figure to photo art directing and styling product.
Nordstrom Product Styling
• Nordstrom Direct, Seattle, WA. As Sr. Stylist, I photo art directed all product shots ensuring the Nordstrom branding, developed the first Nordstrom Style Guide, trained all freelance stylists and styled product. As the business grew I took on the responsibility of managing the product crews daily workflow, estimating and producing the shoots, and reporting all monthly financial reports, along with photo art directing all product shots, and only occasionally styling product. As my job duties had expanded, it was decided I should have a title change to Senior Producer. Studio N shot for all divisions of Nordstrom, from Nordstrom.com Designer landing pages to Nordstrom, the full-line store POP signage; from institutional photographs to hang in lobbies to special projects for Nordstrom Rack, and more.
These photographs represent a few of the departments the product crews shot e-commerce imagery for. Also included are some institutional photographs.
Eddie Bauer Product Styling
• Eddie Bauer, Seattle, WA. I freelanced as a photo art director and stylist for environment product shots for the AKA division of Eddie Bauer. We also were the go-to crew for the occasional product catalogue cover and special projects such as the over 100 laydowns for The Art of Dressing Casual mailer designed for human resource departments to use when describing what is an appropriate business attire at their company. The mailer demonstrated mixing and matching wardrobe pieces from the Eddie Bauer AKA and sportswear clothing lines.
